Can you imagine to live deeper than country and religion ?

"My only concern is to set humans absolutely and unconditionally free."

- J Krishnamurti

When we are born, we inherit a country and sometimes a religion. Nobody really asks the soul which is born about their choice in these matters. It is just pushed on us. For a moment let's call country and religion similar to a box. If you look around most problems humans are creating for each other is trying to protect their own "boxes" versus others "boxes". My point is perhaps we need these boxes to some extent but as a human being, is he or she only restricted to these boxes ? Or is there a deeper essence to the person which is much deeper than any country, religion or any other boxes can bracket itself around ?

Can human essence be restricted to any one particular country or religion ? Isn't the human essence deeper, purer and belonging to the soul of the universe.

Between birth and death, aren't there moments for every human when he or she has reflected her depth which was far deeper than any country or religion can envelop. Haven't humans experienced that essence in themselves (at least in some moments between birth and death) which went deeper than any country or religion can hold.

And from that depth and that essence of the soul, can you really look at other human beings and feel they are different ? Regardless of their surface boxes of country, religion, ethnicity, color, background. Perhaps all of this was made to experience life from a sense of diversity and mutual respect.

But to let these surface boxes, become an obsession and philosophy of mutual destruction within mankind is because we were never went deeper than the structures of country and religions. We could never grasp the essence of oneness which is deeper than all man made structures. When humans were first born, did we have any country ? Did we have any religion ? All of these institutions man created. But life in its pure form which came to Earth was free of all these shackles. It was only later that we got bitten by the poison of our own sociological institutions.

I am not saying that you don't cherish whatever country or religion you are surrounded with or you like. What I am saying is, when you meet other humans who don't belong to the same boxes as yours, pause a moment and reflect, before you think that they are different from you. Maybe you will sense that at the depth we are all one as humanity. Maybe you will start to use your time and creativity you have in this life to strengthen this oneness.

This is the spiritual principle one. The principle of human oneness. And one of the foundation principles of Unleash Your Power .

Very beautiful and inspiring article. Love your approach of oneness.
I do believe that we "inherit a country and sometimes a religion" even though it wasn't our own initial decision but a person can always choose to change based on their sole and soul desire. Not because we were born on a specific land that we should forever relate to it or to its culture. On the other hand, I believe that religion is different, in the sense that if you truly believe in your religion whatever it is, it defines you and it shapes your personality, attitude and every single cell in your body would be defined by it, defending it and protecting it. It becomes your all and your reason of existence. You can not address a soul without a belief, even if that belief is not to believe. It is true that when first mankind was born did not have a specific country but they did have a religion and in religion I mean belief. And I totally agree with you that humans should not define others as being different from them or that they don't belong to the same box as ours, but to embrace these differences and unify them to become an even stronger unit.

Hi Ashish, long time...

i feel that in a way i am free of certain boxes such as country or religion.
i wonder which other boxes i let myself be dragged into?
Sexual orientation? Football? Music? Politics?
I consciously try hard to escape from all those boxes and i remember that you escaped from some of them early on.

hope to see you sometime again dear friend

Thank you, Ashish, for your beautiful view on oneness and making the discernment between personal love and universal love, or if I may compare that with the service to self and service to others.
All of that is present in our readiness and ability to step or think out of the box, as I see it.

I studied Krishnamurti a lot and I see him as a burning flame of love for humanity and one who knew about boxes to step out of very well. I share that purpose with him, burning my own little fire in my own human way of course.

I'm a clumsy owl in how to be in attunement, at least as I feel it could be achieved, which is of a very high standard.
I know I can silence my mind more and just surrender to what appears in front of my nose and be with that in spontaneity and wonder, letting go of control. It's all connected to being in trust with life.

I am still learning ever more lessons in life, but I am blessed with the spark of seeing my boxes as the emprisonment they offer, happy to leave them once I've suffered enough by them. To me, autonomy is a vast landscape, offering ever more new vistas, without a fixed horizon.

That's a result of my willing to step out of the little boxes present inside. For that to make manifest, I had to find the love for myself first and a sense of who I am, a willingness to know myself in truth.
To be different in that aspect, compared to many around me, in need of their boxes, isn't easy though.

The challenge for me, being in that position in my life, is dealing with a seriousness and a strong sense of responsibility balanced with an affinity for my self in my heart. I'm happy to say that the young owl is trying her wings, clumsy as she feels though.

I found some wisdom in this, that this balance of qualities is essential to me, to create a happy life and not get crushed under the heaviness of a responsibility that is greater than one human can bear. Be it at home as a housewife, houseman, employee in an office, director, president, king or queen, or factory worker.

I see that heaviness as a result from indoctrination by religion, ethics of do's and dont's on the workfloor and strict education.
An indoctrination of a church institute, me being a minister's daughter, formed me in my first 21 years.

The fear for stepping out of the box is both a result from mindprogramming and a loss of autonomy, as I see it and experienced in my evolvement in life, now for 63 years..

I think the restoration of our autonomy in general, which is in sync with being authentic, to me, is most important now to be aware of, regarding the mixing of global affairs on all levels and the virtual world dictating much of our affairs, taste, views and awareness, by its one dimensional nature. In that world. No physical body, no touch, no social skills are required and I tend to see that as a condition which injures our autonomy.

I see the physical presence of us and the awareness of it in our actions, as the main instrument for self knowledge and the best condition for creating a happy fulfilled life. In ancient times, practicalities of life, securing food and shelter, all of that was immersed with a spirituality, a connection with the earth, the elements and the turning of seasons, so very natural that no separation of a spiritual experience was needed.

In a way you could say that there was no word for spiritual, this was simply lived and not pondered on or discussed. A shaman tribe leader just lived his life, practicing his skills, in service of the tribe and both thrived on that, when conditions of life were in peace and comfort. Individuality meant not as much to people than, as it does now. You could say this focus on individuality has gone over the top now, if that makes sense to you.

I know I am a deep thinker and you may loose my trail of thinking here, now and then. Try to quiet your mind and read with your heart, if I may be in command of your attitude for a moment.

As a foundation for human interconnectedness and interdependancy, I see a way of living with nature, physical involvement in building shelter, foodgathering and farming, togetherness in communal ceremonies and celebrations of all kinds, as a very beneficial way for being in touch with those 2 qualities and awareness and practice of them.

I see my relationships in life and my activities and sharing with them, as the best mirrors to show me who I am. I'm not in favor of the reflection of a pc screen, seemingly inspiring me in that.

The beauty of internet to me, is the possiblity to share our views on life, which I am trying to convey here. Also as library of knowledge for all who have entrance to this web.

In ancient times, there may have been (and still are) survival issues involved, leading to the instinctual impulse for killing a living being, human or animal, but since the Industrial revolution, the Western civilised world has build up such wealth: safety for body, material luxuries and room for leisure time, that we've g

Thank you Marian for sharing your philosophies in such a personal way. It’s one thing to ‘think big thoughts’ but another to relate them to personal experience and daily life. You ‘walk the talk’, which is the most influential example any of us can hope to live. Keep doing that!

Amazing...like Krishnamurti, when I discovered my version of Spirituality, it was the direct result of my mentor suggesting "I do violence to my belief system!" It took a long while, but when I finally did,...immediately, I realized I was suddenly free...freed from the "burden of religious beliefs!" AHA! A true miracle of consciousness!
