Have you seen people around ? Do you wonder sometimes where all this is heading to ? Charles De Gaulle once said "The graveyards of the world are full of indispensable people". If any of us think we are indispensable, I think we should do an illusion check. The earlier we realize that in truth our lives are like footsteps in the sand (one wave and it's all gone), the sooner we will begin to live with more perspective and more depth.
If you sense the heartbeat of the world, you will sense that there is a lot of pain in the world. Pain which a lot of humans feel inside them but yet try to cover it and mask it and keep moving with flow of life, hoping that the pain will subside or perhaps some new distraction will come, where one will cease to notice the pain, at least for some time, till the distraction lasts. I understand this. I deeply respect this aspect of humanity to keep moving on despite the pain and the obstacles and actually to even celebrate despite the challenges, all the possible moments in life one can celebrate.
I also think that one of the reasons for pain is that our connection to our soul is often missing. And some of us know that no amount of material things or outside life style factors can alleviate the indescribable pain we may often feel. It's almost like the inner meeting with our soul is missing despite all the surface gold and comforts, and the pain that leads to can wreck everything.
I think the questions we should be asking ourselves from time to time is : Am I connected with my soul ? How can I get in touch with my soul ? How can I live that which is inside my soul ? How can I live a life which touches my own heart and the heart of the world while we are alive.
