I am talking about that daily, numbing, crippling, soul wrenching emotional pain which many people go through in their daily lives and yet try their best to hide it for the sake of getting along with temporary topics at hand.
Over a period this results in more suppression and less healthy catharasis, which in turn causes more emotional pain.
So what's the cause of emotional pain in our society ? In my opinion it's the lack of connection we feel in our lives which begins to surface as emotional pain. By lack of connection I mean, lack of connection to our own selves and our own heart. And lack of connection with the humanity around. There is a lot which can be said here about possible causes for lack of connection but we will look at that in one of the upcoming articles.
Here in this post lets talk about what may possibly help. I think to heal this pain and gain a real sense of well being one needs to begin with asking some related questions. How connected do I feel to myself ? What am I trying to avoid in my day to day life ? (What if I look at it and take subsequent actions ? Will it help me to grow tremendously as a human). We need to look within. And from there the next steps starts becoming clearer. It's a long journey but it guarantees lot of heartful moments on the path and experiencing a deeper and authentic sense of well being. Unleash Your Power movement is about actualizing this deeper sense of well being.
In my upcoming posts I will also be looking at topics of sexuality and intimacy and how the obfuscations and masks there lead to lack of connection and lack of depth in our lives. And how that further exacerbates emotional pain.
Here is a quote from David Icke which gives a perspective on emotional pain in a different but insightful way.
“We laugh at sheep because sheep just follow the one in front. We humans have out-sheeped the sheep, because at least the sheep need a sheep dog to keep them in line. Humans keep each other in line. And they do it by ridiculing or condemning anyone who commits the crime, and that’s what it’s become, of being different.”
