I don't want to sound arrogant. I want to try to be authentic. (At least I want to try, for authenticity itself is a journey of self discovery and self excavation. But I am digressing. Authenticity can be a topic for future posts.) The question I want to answer here is : Whom should we engage with ? As coaches, artists, writers, possessors of our own unique voice and essence, and various industry professionals, the question often arises : who should we work with and who should we engage with in our daily professional and personal lives ? My answer is simple : Only those who get you. And no one else. At least if you have a choice. (And if you don't have that choice currently, see how you can create that choice over coming period, so you can begin to exercise more freedom in your decisions in whom you engage with and whom you don't. Don't sell your soul. It's pathetic. Take care of your inner essence you are born with.) Ignore those who don't get you. If you are trying too hard to convince people, it means something is off. It means you are not in touch with your inner essence. Because when you are in touch with your essence, you simply begin to live your path and your depth and stop wasting your resources on those who don't get you. You become very selective in who you engage with. You stop worrying about being liked by everyone (Living your essence is not a necessarily a popularity contest). You stop worrying about pleasing the masses. (Read Nietzsche on the topic of common stupidity one often witnesses in the masses versus the authentic intelligence one can come across in an individual). You begin to listen to your intuition and let decisions evolve from there. Focus on people who get you. Ignore those who don't get you. Yes, life is a journey, we born free but with DNA printed; then we learn how to live, how to grow, sometimes it brings a great sense of grounding and purpose as well as happiness to be at the right place in the world, sometimes, depending of our context, it puts us into self prison and then, we use a part of our life to free ourselves of the wrong beliefs, patterns... in order to offer to ourselves the right place and the happiness coming with (or versus) in this given life. Life is precious, and indeed, I agree that It deserves to choose with whom we feel it right to celebrate!
